Installation

Do Wireless Electricity Monitors have to be professionally installed?
No as the installation of the sensor is not invasive it is possible for the end user to do the installation. However if there are any doubts on how to install the sensor it is recommended that a qualified electrician installs the sensor due to safety reasons.

Where do I connect the sensor?
The sensor in a normal single phase installation clips over the insulated live wire running from the bottom of the mains switch on the electricity distribution board. If you are uncertain on where to connect the sensor we would recommend you seek advice from a professional electrician.

Does it matter where I put the monitor?
No as it is a wireless device it can be placed anywhere within the required range of the transmitter. It is recommended that you place it where you can easily glance at it, like the kitchen and ideally as close to the transmitter as possible as solid walls and obstructions can affect transmission. The Eco-Eye has the longest range in the market - 90m when the additional antennae is used.

Can I use a wireless electricity monitor if I have 3 phase supply?
Yes the transmitters have connections for 3 sensors for 3 phase applications. Additional CT sensors are available for purchase separately.
